Lynda Keane

Lynda Keane is the Founder and Chair of Being Matters Inc and the owner of Bodhi Heart Pty Ltd, a disability support service evolving into innovative, human centred community projects across the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. With a background in entrepreneurship, disability support, executive hospitality management, and community based creative ventures, she brings a unique blend of lived experience and leadership. Lynda is a single mother, survivor of domestic violence, and parent to a child who faced acute lymphoblastic leukaemia. These experiences shape her commitment to creating inclusive systems that genuinely meet people where they are. She is also the driver and administrator behind an online community of over 2,000 women supporting Woman of The Northern Rivers and Beyond, and is the creative mind behind key initiatives including Your World Your Way and the Women’s Hub. With the founding of Being Matters Lynda is now working, with her committee to expand locally delivered solutions into other communities across Australia.

Rodrigo Raymundo brings over two decades of creative and operational leadership grounded in purpose and human connection. Beginning his career by launching a creative agency as a young graduate, he built a foundation of innovation and collaboration that continues to shape his work today. His professional journey has spanned international projects and executive roles within Australia’s wellness and hospitality industries, where he led teams in creating transformative guest experiences that foster wellbeing, inclusion, and connection. Rodrigo has also contributed to initiatives that build safer and more authentic spaces for diverse voices and communities, drawing on his lived experience as part of the LGBTQI+ community. Guided by curiosity, empathy, and social responsibility, he is committed to fostering environments where creativity and compassion intersect, ensuring that whatever he pursues leads to lasting cultural and social impact.

Tamra Elise McMahon is a seasoned finance and business operations professional with expertise across accounting, taxation, corporate project finance, and entrepreneurship. Her career reflects both analytical precision and a genuine commitment to people and purpose. Guided by curiosity and integrity, Tamra brings a strategic, process-oriented approach to every project, transforming potential into performance and ensuring that meaningful impact is grounded in strong, sustainable practice.

Kyla Plummer brings the entrepreneurial savvy and determination that come from creating her own path while raising two children. Over the years, she has built a portfolio of successful ventures, founding and operating several well-known hospitality establishments, cafés, and food businesses across the Northern Rivers, each recognised for their creativity, warmth, and community spirit. Alongside her husband, she also runs a thriving luxury property maintenance business, reflecting her eye for quality and commitment to excellence. With a strong background in hospitality operations, business management, and team leadership, Kyla has cultivated inclusive workplaces that prioritise genuine connection and growth. Known for her compassion, resilience, and authenticity, she continues to inspire others through her heart-centred approach and her ability to turn vision into community-minded success.

Nathalie Beclu

Nathalie Beclu is a community-focused entrepreneur whose work is shaped by determination, empathy, and lived experience. Starting out as a single mother at nineteen, she has founded and grown several small businesses across wellbeing, retail, sustainable cleaning, and creative community events, all designed to support local women, single parents, and connection within the Northern Rivers. Her newest venture, Conscious Connections Coaching, helps men develop emotional awareness and healthier relationship patterns, bridging personal growth with broader social wellbeing. Known for her grounded, heart-centred approach, Nathalie mentors people through life transitions and champions inclusive, community-driven spaces. She embodies the strength of women who turn adversity into purpose and use their work to uplift others.

What We Do Matters

Being Matters is not-for-profit organisation working to promote wellbeing, education, and equity in every community.
